Rumsey Tribal Chairman Marshall McKay accepted the Business Leader of the Year award, on behalf of the Yocha De-He Community Fund for their charitable contributions.

- Woodland, CA – The Woodland Healthcare Foundation today launched a $1.5 million campaign – When Every Second Counts – to enhance Yolo County’s busiest and most comprehensive emergency department. Marshall McKay, Chairman of the Rumsey Band of Wintun Indians, kicked off the campaign with a $250,000 check presented to Kevin Vaziri, President of Woodland Healthcare, and Mark Engstrom, a foundation board member of the Woodland Healthcare Foundation and chairman of the capital campaign.

- Brooks, CA – Ten fire departments from around Yolo County got together at Guys Corner in Madison during mid-February to raise funds in the annual “Fill the Boot” drive supporting the Firefighters Burn Institute in Sacramento. After raising $10,000 last year, the firefighters went all out this year, raising $25,000 and receiving a matching gift of $15,000 from the Rumsey Community Fund for a total of $40,000.
